Is there a charge for using it?No, there is no charge for using the web site. The owner of the property pays a fee to show the vacation rental property on our site.
No, payment is made directly to the owner of the property in the manner and currency the owner specifies. As mentioned, our web site plays no part in the rental process. It is 100% between the owner and the renter.
What is the method payment to the owner?It is entirely up to the owner how to receive rental payment. It could be check, money order, Pay Pal, etc.
Can I negotiate prices with an owner?It is entirely up to the owner as to how flexible the owner is with the rental prices.
How do I contact the owner?The Property page will have information on how to contact the owner.
Do you check for accuracy in the description of the properties listed on your web site?No, we do not check for accuracy in the description of the property. However, if we find a property is not accurately being depicted we reserve the right to cancel that listing.
Does searchvacationrenta.com participate in any way in the rental process?No, that is between the owner and the renter. We do not participate in any way in the rental process. Any problems, issues, etc are handled between the owner and the renter. Our web site servesa similar function as that of the classified section of a newspaper. We provide the information, as uploaded to our web site by the customer, but do not go beyond that.
What happens if there is a dispute between Owner and Renter?If a problem arises between an owner and a renter, the solution needs to be worked out by the owner and the renter. We do not participate in the rental process or dispute resolution. It is suggested that renters speak with owners and ask appropriate questions to avoid possible conflicts. It might be useful to ask the owner for references from previous renters. We are considering, as a future project, to add a section that includes “renter’s comments”.
What if I feel that and Owner is not depicting the property accurately or is not acting properly?We would like to know. We’ll research it and reach a decision on how to proceed. As you may have read, we reserve the right to cancel any listing for any reason.
Yes, there is a charge for subscribing to our site. From home page, select Information and click on Rates.
Does searchvacationrental.com receives any commission when a property is rented?No, we do not receive any commission.
Do you share customer registration information with other parties?No, we do not share customer information. Customer information may be used for our own internal use.
Do you have a money back guarantee if I change my mind?We have a 60 days money back guarantee for new subscription (not for renewals) no questions asked.
Do I get all my money back if I cancel within 60 days?Yes. Refunds can only be made to the same credit card number used to pay for the subscription. No exceptions.
How can I pay for my listing?You may use Master Card, Visa, American Express or Discover credit card to pay for your listing. We use Pay Pal to process the credit card transaction. Credit card information is transmitted to Pay Pal using a secured link.
Do you keep credit card information in your database?No, for security reasons we do not store credit card information in our database. Once the information is transmitted to Pay Pal, it will no longer be available to us. At renewal time, you will have to re-enter credit card information again.
How do I identify the credit card charge in my statement?The charge will show in your statement as coming from WWWSEARCHVA or SEARCHVACATIONRENTL
What happens if I want to cancel my subscription after 60 days?You can cancel your listing with us at anytime. The terms are explained in Terms and Conditions link, as follows: After 60 days, we’ll prorate the refund based on the unused number of days to expiration and credit you for the unused time minus a $15 service fee. If the prorated amount mount is less than the $15 service fee there will be no refund. Refunds can only be made to the same credit card number used to pay for the subscription. No exceptions.
Yes, we reserve the right to cancel any listing for any reason. See Terms and Conditions for details. Some, but not all, of the reasons we may consider in cancelling a listing are:
- Customer complaints
- Misrepresentation of listed property
You’ll get part of your money back. The terms are the same as if the user cancels with the exception that the $15 service fee will be waived. Refunds can only be made to the same credit card number used to pay for the subscription. No exceptions.
Can I use a URL inside my listing?The use of URL links on a property listing on our web site is permitted, as long as:
- It is not a link to a competing web site
- It’s a link that is meaningful and is of value in describing the listed property.
What if a customer cancels the reservation to rent my property and wants the deposit money back?Your listing should have a cancellation and refund policy. Allow enough time before refunding any money to give the bank where the deposit was made enough time for the funds to clear. Check with your bank to make sure that there is no chance of a check or money order bouncing after refunding the money.
