What happens if I let my Subscription Expire?

Unless you tell us otherwise, we may continue showing the expired property on our site; however, any rental inquiries will have the sender information removed.

Improving Search Engine Visibility (Very Important)
When a user does a search for a vacation rental
home there may be thousands of vacation rental places competing to be displayed on the first page of that search. The search engine makes a determination, based on their criteria, of the order in which of these properties will be listed.

In the Property Tab there are two text fields that are especially important for search engine visibility: The “Title for Listing” and the “Intro Text”. The information provided to search engines of your property is compiled from the text in these two fields.

It is very important that in these text fields you use certain keywords, such as the location of your property, characteristics of the area where you property is located in order to make a compelling case to the search engines that they should rank your property ahead of someone else property during a search.

Be accurate and complete. The more detail provided about the property and its location, the better it is for search engine visibility and ranking.

Changing Subscription from one type to another, or changing the number of properties in a subscription
We can do either one. The process is somewhat complicated and not yet programmed into the site.  Let us know what you want done by emailing us at: This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Property Location Map on Display Property
The location of the property in the Map is determined in the following order of priority if that information is available:

   1. Latitude/Longitude of the Property
   2. Address of the Property
   3. Country, State/Region/Province, and City of the Property

Verify that the map is displaying the approximate location of the property.  Latitude and longitude information can be obtained on the Internet, e.g. http://itouchmap.com/latlong.html, and it can be entered in any of the following forms:
    * 26.588527, -77.189941
    * 26.588527N, 77.189941W
    * 26 40 39.02, - 77 16 59.43
    * 26 40 39.02N, 77 16 59.43W

Latitude and Longitude information can be entered in the Property’s Amenities Tab toward the end  of the page.

Property Description is Displaying Incorrectly
If the property description is not displaying correctly click on the Remove Formatting icon of the editor to clear up all control characters. This icon is on the 3rd line, 2nd from the left of the text editor.
This usually happens when text is copied from another word processor. In addition to the text being copied, there will be “control” characters specific to that word processor that is not used by the our editor.

Photo not showing in its Entirety
The size of the photo is adjusted so that it fits the lay out of the web page. In the cases of photos where one side is much larger than the other the adjustment process may cause part of the photo not to display.The photos which will display better are those where the height and width of the photo are roughly the same.

How does the Search function Works?
When a user searches on a word, it looks for that word to be in every field of all the properties in our database. Use important keywords somewhere in the text areas of your Property to improve the Search.
