Vacation Rental Description
PIRATE'S DEN is a lovely cottage set on a country road along the Medomak River 6 miles south of town. Plenty of coastal activity or quiet solitude, as you choose. First floor of cottage has an open living room facing the cove with a nice gas-fired open faced wood-like burner, pine interior walls and large windows. Neat kitchen with microwave, washer dryer, and the basics needed for home cooking. Also the 1st floor has a comfortable bathroom with shower and a small bedroom with privacy as needed for two. Second floor is an open room 30 x 20 with sleeping for 4 or more and plenty of windows to the sea. The land faces the cove with frontage and a dock to access the boating activities. Seabirds abound along the Cove including loons, mallards, eider ducks, osprey, eagles, etc. To top off your vacation THE OWNER GIVES 4 LOBSTERS TO COOK AT WILL FOR YOUR PLEASURE. The rate of $600./week is being reduced to $500/wk to allow more folks to enjoy Midcoast - Maine and return in future seasons. CALL EARLY FOR CHOICE WEEKS (ex: Lobster Festival Week, Blues Music Festival, Lobster Boat Races). Lots to see and do on the coast including Acadia National Park, Boothbay Harbor, Camden, Monhegan Island, Penobscot Bay Windjammer trips, and much more, including antiquing, whale watching, deep-sea fishing, golf, sailing, kayaking, or just laying back and soaking up the good ole salt air, or even a chance to see the FOG roll in over the land from the unpredictable ocean.
